Did you know ShowingTime products are used by more than 950,000 real estate professionals in the U.S. and Canada for a wide range of business needs? While their needs are diverse, we do receive some common questions more frequently than others. We thought it would be helpful to put together a brief FAQ with answers to some questions we received in the last month.
Of course, this FAQ only scratches the surface of the resources ShowingTime users have at their disposal. As always, our Resources page is an excellent first stop for any questions or insights into ShowingTime services. Our Support team is also available seven days a week by live chat, email or phone. Do I Have to Use the Waitlist Feature?
We recently introduced a brand-new way for buyers’ agents to stay competitive in a strong seller’s market like the one we’re currently experiencing: the new Waitlist option. Simply put, the option enables agents to be notified immediately when an appointment time becomes available — an incredibly handy feature in a time when the average number of days on market for a listing can be counted on one hand in many markets.
The response we’ve received about this feature has been overwhelming: After only a week of becoming available in many markets, more than 21,000 agents joined at least one waitlist, resulting in more than 30,000 waitlist notifications being sent! The Waitlist feature joins the growing list of new features we’ve rolled out in the last few months to help agents succeed in the rapidly evolving market, and we’re excited to hear that agents are putting them to good use.
Of course, not every feature will work for every agent and workflow. That’s why, like many other features we offer, taking advantage of the Waitlist is completely optional and must be opted-in in order to use it.

How can I Send Mass Notifications?
Showing management involves more than just scheduling and obtaining listing feedback. Regular communication on a number of topics that come up throughout the process is also an ongoing responsibility for agents.
ShowingTime users have access to tools that greatly simplify communication by allowing them to send mass notifications through the ShowingTime interface.
Users have the option to send a message only to those agents who have viewed one of their listings or they can add email addresses to send information manually.
To send a message, first select the listing you’d like to send a message about from the Listing Setup Menu, then select the Listing Activity Report and click on the Send Notification button on the left.

Can I Share Tour Details with Buyers?
A day of showings can quickly become complex for buyers, especially when factoring in timing and driving directions.
With ShowingTime, agents can go the extra mile for their clients by sharing tour details with them using ShowingCart™. Simply navigate to the top of the ShowingCart screen, where you’ll see two options for sharing the tour: by email using the envelop button, or in paper form using the printer button.
Bonus: When agents add buyers to showing requests, they have instant access to these tours in Home by ShowingTime, the free ShowingTime service for buyers and sellers whose agents use ShowingTime. Buyers can access the tour on their phone with My Home by ShowingTime to take advantage of the built-in navigation option.
